When I started the Frontline Families Fundraiser, I had the goal of sending $3000 to the Frontline Families Fund ... Amazingly, as of today the project has raised just over $17,000! And for that, I want to thank all of you who participated in the fundraiser and purchased a pendant! We did this together!!
Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have been listening to Dr. Michael Osterholm's Covid-19 podcast, and found it to be a great source for information. Dr. Osterholm is a world-renowned epidemiologist who does a great job explaining the science - but he also emphasizes the human toll, especially on the families of healthcare workers who have lost their lives - and encourages listeners to engage in a "pandemic of kindness". This was the inspiration for theMended Heart Pendant.
I'm delighted to announce that I have won one of this year's International Pearl Design Competition awards from the Cultured Pearl Association of America!
I recently sat down with Jennie Eukel (virtually ... over Zoom) and she interviewed me for her Twin Cities Design Scene podcast. We had a great chat and discussed business, inspiration, and even some of the techniques I use in my jewelry. Listen in here!
